Published without interruption since 1975, JGSS/REGS (Journal of Gender & Sexualities Studies/Revista de Estudios de Género y Sexualidades) is a biannual, peer-reviewed journal devoted strictly to gender- and sexuality-related issues, women authors and artists, feminist theory, masculinities, in the context of Hispanic and Luzo-Brazilian literatures and cultures from medieval and colonial times to the present.
REGS publishes scholarly articles, interviews to authors, artists, and filmmakers, book reviews, and unpublished creative writing. REGS invites authors** to submit essays to be considered for publication in our issues of 2021, 2022 as follows:
• Vol 47.2. (Nov-Dec 2021): Best deadline to be considered: October 15, 2020. The last deadline to be considered: May 15, 2021.
• Vol 48.1. (June-July 2022): Best deadline to be considered: May 15, 2021. The last deadline to be considered: January 15, 2022.
• Vol 48.2. (Nov-Dec 2022): Deadline to be considered: October 15, 2021. The last deadline to be considered: May 15, 2022.
**Authors must be professionals in the field (faculty, researchers, independent scholars, writers) who hold a Ph.D. (Doctorate) or an M.F.A. (Master of Fine Arts, a terminal degree). Exceptionally, REGS will consider submissions by ABDs (All But Dissertation), advanced Doctoral students/candidates who are at the last stages of writing their dissertation.
** All authors whose work is accepted for publication, must be(come) members of the Asociación de Estudios de Género y Sexualidades that sponsors REGS/JGSS.
